This bathroom was pure joy to create. We started with a blank builder-grade slate — recently updated quartzite countertops already in place — and built a storybook world from there.
We wanted to emulate Alice's iconic blue and white striped dress, but doing it on budget meant getting creative. Instead of wallpaper, we hand painted the stripes ourselves. The result has so much character and charm that wallpaper never could have matched.
The flooring is peel-and-stick checkerboard from Otto Studio — and we've been genuinely impressed with the quality. So has our client. It's bold, it's fun, and it reads exactly like the floor of Wonderland.
The showstopper is the custom shower curtain, made by I Heart Jeans in Kissimmee, FL using vintage Alice sketch fabric from Spoonflower. It's like stepping into an illustration. We finished the space with Alice in Wonderland book art sourced from Etsy, pulling the whole story together in a room that feels like a true escape.
