The Story

This was such a fun project. We took a bland, backyard shed — completely white, zero personality — and transformed it into an orange and blue shrine to Florida Gators football. The homeowner is a major memorabilia collector, and it was genuinely exciting to sort through years of collected items and find the perfect place for each one.

We custom made roller shades in Gator-print fabric sourced from Spoonflower, and LBV Painting took on the challenge of painting the signature orange and blue stripes on the walls. Those stripes are what brought the whole vision together and made the space unmistakably, gloriously, Florida Gator.

One of our favorite aspects of this project was the creative constraint: the only items we actually purchased were the sofa, rug, and chair. Everything else was about editing, curation, and placement — finding the story within what already existed and presenting it with intention. That kind of challenge is where we truly shine.

The personal touches were what made it meaningful. Incorporating tributes to the homeowner's late grandfather among the memorabilia turned a sports room into something far more than that. It became a space full of love, legacy, and a whole lot of Gator pride.
